Umberto Stagni was born in Bologna in 1972. In 2005 he founded PastaVolante, his own company and the pseudonym under which he creates his illustrations with traditional and digital techniques. These techniques apply not only to personal projects, but also to communication, editorial and music projects. He has always been devoted to pin-ups as main characters of personal irony and carelessness.

20Quindici: a trip in the history of 12 pin-ups, among feminine charme, iconography, decorum and subtle irony.
“There’s a story behind each one of my drawings. The concept of pin-ups is not an end in itself but always presents situations in which the feminine figure is more ironic and careless, therefore more true, not only represented in an erotic or iconic way.”
