Irene Martino was born surrounded by art and artists, her home was basically an atelier, full of paintings, colours and canvases. Growing up, she experimented many forms of art but avoided drawing throughout her adolescence. Later on, while studying theatre and foreign literature, she found herself doodling so much that she felt the need to learn how to draw. It was love at first sight, the art form she had avoided for so long was her soul mate. She loves to create dreamlike and surreal atmospheres, telling stories, which can be different for everyone. What makes life so interesting, in her opinion, is the subjectivity of the human experience.
